| The erstwhile Government first grade college, channapatna saw the light of day on june 1984.Now a days the educational institutions have been commercialized. But this institution is an exception to this. The motto of this institution is to impart quality education to the students hailing from rural area. |

The college offers Under Graduate courses in BA, B.COM, BBM and B.SC. B.SC is a new course in this college. It has been started from the academic year 2010-11.It is like a new feather in the cap of Institution. A new combination with psychology, Journalism and History in BA course will be introduced from the next academic year. Add- on courses would be introduced for the benefit of students. Post- Graduate courses in commerce, Kannada, History and Economics are proposed to be started from the ensuing academic year. A plan of action has been prepared with respect to commencement of new courses. |

Government first Grade College, channapatn has got its own identity. The college was shifted to present building in 1994.The first floor of the building has been constructed very recently. The construction of the second floor is in progress. The civil work is going on. The college has a huge permanent structure comprising of 12 class rooms, library, science laboratory, principal chamber, college office, computer laboratory, NSS and Sports room, staff room and commerce and Management department. Class rooms are spacious and well ventilated with fans. Each class room can accommodate more than 100 students. More class rooms will be made available from next year. |
