Admissions will begin with the issue of application forms and prospectus to the students seeking admissions to all UG courses at the beginning of the academic year. Admissions shall be made as per the guidelines and calendar events issued by the University.

Department of Political Science
 
The Department of political science was also started along with when erstwhile college was established in the year 1984.The Department made a good beginning with HEP combination. The same combination is being continued even to-day to cater to the growing needs of aspirants in this locality. The department got expanded with increase in intake. It is quite evident from an increase in number of students who seek admissions to this combination year after year at an entry level. It is the fact that the number of applications received for admissions to HEP is more than the intake. The subject of Political Science has been offered as an elective subject which is as per Bangalore University regulations. Political Science has been the most opted subject in this college. The Department was just teaching only 52 students during the year it was established. At present it is teaching the subject to around 500 students’ .The growth of the department since its inception has been remarkable.
 
The Department is having an adequate and able teaching faculty. The faculties are rich in experience and are committed themselves for imparting quality education in the subject of Political Science. New teaching methods have been adopted by teachers to create an interest in students. The teachers are highly qualified and yearn to enhance their level of knowledge by taking part in seminars, conferences and workshops. The Department is research oriented in its approach. One of the teachers possesses Ph.D degree and another one is pursuing Doctorate degree.
 
The academic performance of the Department is very high. The students are faring well in the examinations. The results of the department are more than 80% in each semester examinations.

M.G.Bharathraj: He has Presented a paper on “Gender Issues” in state level Political Science Teachers conference held in Kudalasangama , Karnataka in 2007.

Dr.P.G.Poornima: She has a good academic record. She has made an excellent achievement in Political science. Her inherent vocation is writing. Her hobbies are creative writing of articles and essays. She is a prolific writer. She has authored text books for PU and Degree classes.

Jayaramaiah G.M: He is pursuing Doctorate degree in Bangalore University on the topic entitled” Constitutional and legal provisions to eradicate the child labor with a special reference to Karnataka – A study”. He has presented a research paper entitled “Media, Democracy and citizenship” at the National seminar on “Role of Media in Democracy held on March 2010 in Bangalore.
